About the Founder
Mariam Ashley Yusuf, an indigene of Benue State, Nigeria. Who grew up in a society where She got to witness first hand the travails of people who had no means to fend for themselves and this spurred an innate desire in her as a young girl to help those in need whenever the opportunity presented itself.
She holds a bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and a Masters degree in Media Arts from the University Of Abuja. Despite her professional training in this field, it hasn't stopped the urge to help people, but rather has given her a new perspective and a better approach by which she can achieve same and do much more for women and children in the communities and by extension other parts of the world.
About MAY Foundation
MAY foundation is a non-political, non-religious, not-for-profit organization, committed to education, the promotion of health and protection of the well-being of families, economic empowerment. Our love and desire for children, gave rise to the establishment of MAY Foundation. The foundation also seeks to raise her voice as advocates against gender based violence, exploitation, molestation, trafficking and injustice. Also, the Foundation seeks to enhance the development of education, to raise our voice as Advocates against exploitation, child molestation, trafficking and injustice. The Foundation is also concerned with the upliftment of infrastructural development among the less-priviledged children, youths and women within Nigeria in particular and Africa in general.
Our main Focus
Over the years, MAY Foundation has channeled most of her help outreaches, support, and work towards improving on these main areas in various communities nationwide.
